Contemplación is a collaborative exhibition by Sofía Carrasco and Marita Chávez, presented in 2020. Developed during a period of uncertainty and isolation, the project reflects on contemplation as a way of slowing down, observing, and becoming more aware of our relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

The exhibition explores themes of stillness, perception, memory, and the quiet beauty of everyday experience. Rather than depicting specific narratives, the works invite viewers to pause and reflect on what often goes unnoticed, revealing how moments of silence and attentive observation can transform the way we understand our surroundings.

As part of the exhibition, Sofía created an original hand-drawn animation for the musical work Recuento by Ensamble Qori, a saxophone quartet. The moving drawings respond to its textures, pacing, and atmosphere.
